Curling “Team Tully” wins Silver Medal in BC Finals!

Curling2015

Congratulations to all the members of my curling team who won the Silver Medal in the 2015 BC Finals!

…my Curling Team called “Team Tully” won the right to represent the Vancouver Curling Club in the Lower Mainland playdowns against 19 other Club winners. The top 3 moved on to the B.C. playdowns where there were 8 Teams from throughout B.C. who won their zones. Our Team won the Silver Medal in the B.C. Finals & it came down to the last shot in the 8th end & the Team from  Chilliwack beat us (Sunday April 19th) to move on to the Canadian Finals in Ottawa…it was the best VCC (our Club) has done in the Men’s Club Playdowns.

Moving and Amazing Musical you should see

…Bill Sample, who has been my Music Director for many years at the World Kindness Concert, spent the last 2 years writing the music for the most moving & amazing ‘musical’ – “The Raymur Mothers” – it was featured in the newspaper & is about the ‘mothers’ in the DTES who sat on the railway tracks in 1970 until they built an overpass over the tracks so the children could get to school safely. It is on every night at 8pm until Nov. 9th (matinee on the 9th at 2pm as well) at the Russian Hall in the DTES at 600 Campbell Street – Box office (604)708-5448 or www.theatreintheraw.ca – it is FANTASTIC & the talent is incredible!:-) – let Bill know i ‘gently nudged’ you to go…he’s on keyboards!
